The Laos Hymn

by Bob Miller, Greg Raven, and Dan Hanson

(Sung to the tune of the Caisson song.)

Overkill, no avail,
As we hit Ho Chi Minh Trail,
And the Khe Sanhs go rolling along.

We will search for Hanoi’s,
As the Reds kill off our boys,
And the Khe Sanhs go rolling along.

Well it’s Pnom, Pnom Penh,
As we’re off to war again,
Burning the babies by the throng.

And where e’er they go,
That is where the blood will flow,
And the Khe Sanhs go rolling along.

Over burn, over bomb,
As we pillage Vietnam,
And the Khe Sahns go marching along.

We will fly through the flak,
’Til we turn the country black,
And the Khe Sanhs go rolling along.

Well it’s “Hi, Lon Nol!”,
Laughing off the new death toll,
Count off the bodies loud and strong.

’Til their huts are coals,
And there’s nothing left but holes,
There’ll be Khe Sahns just rolling along.
