Book review: The Rogue Lawyer, by John Grisham

Unexpectedly enjoyable (March 28, 2018)

Never read anything by Grisham so I wasn’t expecting much. Boy was I surprised. I chose this title because it reminded me of the “Lincoln Lawyer,” Mickey Haller, and as luck would have it the lead character is a grittier, east-coast version. Great writing, complex situations, and a verisimilitude you don’t often find. The linked short-story format is interesting, too. Now I’ve got to investigate other titles by this author.
