To Compare

Finer still than diamonds
And purer than the coldest mountain air
Warmer than a smile in the sunlight
Too graceful against words to be compared.

Raucous as a rainbow
As uncouth as a flower in her hair
Hungry as an eye surprised by beauty
And distant as the commonplace is rare.
